Projects under Dr. Bhabatosh Das
Project A: Expansion of INSACOG-Wastewater Surveillance of SARS-CoV-2, Emerging Pathogens, and Antimicrobial Resistance through Genomics-Based Methods.
Project B: Understanding gastrointestinal tract microbiome of neonates with or without sepsis (under Neo-sepsis program).
1. Project Associate-I / II (02 Posts – One for each project)
Qualifications & Experience
For PA-I: B.E./ B.Tech./ M.Sc./ M.Tech degree in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognized university.
For PA-II: B.E./ B.Tech./ M.Sc./ M.Tech degree in any branch of Life Sciences with at least two (2) years of post-qualification research experience in Microbiology.
Job Description / Skills Required
Candidates should have a strong background in multi-omics, microbiology, or environmental biology with demonstrated hands-on experience in microbial culture and/or the collection and processing of environmental samples.
Monthly Emoluments
- i) Rs. 35,000/- + HRA (or Rs. 31,000/- + HRA for PA-I) for Scholars selected through National Eligibility Tests (CSIR UGC NET/GATE) or National level examinations conducted by Central Govt. Departments/Agencies.
- ii) Rs. 28,000/- + HRA (or Rs. 25,000/- + HRA for PA-I) for others who do not fall under (i) above.
2. Senior Project Associate (01 Post)
Qualifications & Experience
B.E./ B.Tech./ M.Sc./ M.Tech degree in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognized university, with at least four (4) years’ of post-qualification research experience in Microbiology.
Job Description / Skills Required
Candidates should have a strong background in bioinformatics and hands-on experience in 16S metagenomics, transcriptomics, or whole-genome sequencing analysis. Familiarity with bioinformatics pipelines to analyze sequence data is required.
Monthly Emoluments
- Rs. 42,000/- plus HRA.
Project under Dr. Ramandeep Singh
Project: Polyphosphate signalling in microbial pathogenesis and host immunity.
3. Senior Project Associate (01 Post)
Qualifications & Experience
Essential: B.E./ B.Tech./ M.Sc./ M.Tech degree in any branch of Life Sciences with at least four (4) years’ of post-qualification experience in the relevant field.
Desirable: The candidate having at least one co-author paper in a peer-reviewed indexed journal will be preferred.
Job Description / Skills Required
Experience in molecular biology, microbiology and biochemistry techniques. Candidates should also have experience in handling animals.
Monthly Emoluments
- Rs. 42,000/- plus HRA.
4. Principal Project Associate (01 Post)
Qualifications & Experience
Essential: B.E./ B.Tech./ M.Sc./ M.Tech degree in any branch of Life Sciences with at least eight (8) years’ of post-qualification experience in relevant field OR Ph.D. degree in any branch of Life Sciences with at least four (4) years’ of post-qualification experience in relevant field.
Desirable: The candidate having at least one first-author paper in a peer-reviewed indexed journal will be preferred.
Job Description / Skills Required
Experience working in BSL-3 laboratories, handling of Mycobacterium tuberculosis, FACS experiments, and animal studies.
Monthly Emoluments
- Rs. 49,000/- plus HRA.
Project under Dr. Nitya Wadhwa
Project: Placenta Health Project – Adaptive Dose Finding Platform in India.
5. Project Associate-I (01 Post)
Qualifications & Experience
Essential: B.E./ B.Tech./ M.Sc./ M.Tech. degree in any branch of Life Sciences from a recognized university.
Desirable: Prior experience in working with cell culture would be preferred.
Job Description / Skills Required
- Cell Culture: Manage and optimize cell culture systems, including the culture of placental cells, trophoblasts, and secondary cell lines.
- Perform cellular assays: Develop and maintain in-vitro models to study the role of placental function.
- Imaging and Analysis: Perform advanced confocal imaging microscopy and immuno-histochemistry on placental tissues.
- Molecular Biology: Conduct molecular analyses, including gene expression studies using PCR, and protein assays.
Monthly Emoluments
- Rs. 25,000/- plus HRA.
Walk-in Interview Instructions
- Venue: THSTI, NCR Biotech Science Cluster, 3rd Milestone, Faridabad-Gurugram Expressway, Faridabad – 121001.
- Time: Candidates must report at 9:00 AM on the respective dates for the written test/skill test/interview. Candidates coming after the time slot mentioned will not be entertained.
- Documents to Carry: Candidates must bring their latest CV/resume, one set of photocopies of documents in support of their educational qualification and experience along with their originals, and a valid ID card for verification.
- Security Protocol: All candidates are mandatorily required to deposit their mobile phone along with valid Identity proof at the reception, which will be returned on completion of the entire selection process.
General Terms & Conditions
- These are short-term positions. Extension will be granted subject to satisfactory performance and the tenure of the project. Those appointed will not have any claim for regularisation of their employment.
- All educational, professional, and technical qualifications should be from a recognised Board/University.
- The date of Interview will be the CRUCIAL DATE for determining eligibility for age, experience, essential qualification, etc.
- Age Relaxations: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC. For PwBD: UR – 10 years, OBC – 13 years, SC/ST – 15 years. Ex-servicemen and Central Govt/Institute employees as per rules.
- All communications will only be made through email.
- In case many candidates appear for the walk-in interview, screening will be done to limit the number of candidates to those possessing higher/relevant qualification and experience.
