📜 General Information, Policy Mandates & Rules

  • All posts advertised are primarily tenable at TIFR, Colaba, Mumbai, but appointees are liable to be transferred to other Centers/Field Stations across India based on institutional exigencies.
  • Tenure Reviews: Appointments for Sr. Nos. 1 to 7 and 12 to 17 are initially for a period of three years (including a 1-year probation period). Continued appointment beyond three years is strictly subject to a comprehensive performance appraisal review up to superannuation age (60 years).
  • Shift Responsibilities: Selected candidates for technical/vocational trades (Sr. Nos. 12 to 17 and 22 to 29) are mandatorily required to work in rolling shift patterns, including Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays, based on institute needs.
