ICMR-National Institute of Health Research (NIHR), Gorakhpur, a prestigious organization under the Indian Council of Medical Research, intends to engage Consultants and Young Professionals-II (YP-II) on a purely temporary and contractual basis to support institutional and research activities.

1. Consultant (Administrative)
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Professionals having at least 08 years of experience in Administration in Govt. Dept/PSU/Autonomous bodies and should possess a Post Graduate degree in a relevant subject (Viz. Management/Public Administration etc.).
OR
Retired Government employees, with a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline and in pay level-7 and above, with 10 years of experience in the field of management/Public Administration etc.
Monthly Remuneration
₹80,000 – ₹1,20,000/-
For retired Govt. servants, remuneration shall be fixed in accordance with MoF, Dept. of Expenditure OM No. 3-25/2020-E.IIIA dated 09/12/2020.
(For retired Govt. employees: Upto 70 Years).
2. Young Professional-II (Scientific)
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Post-graduates in Life Sciences / Pharmacy / Statistics / Social works / Sociology / BAMS, BSMS, and MD in AYUSH with at least 55% marks.
Must possess three (03) Years post-qualification experience in the related field.
Monthly Remuneration
₹42,000/-
3. Young Professional-II (Admin)
Essential Qualifications & Experience
Post graduate in any discipline with a minimum of 55% marks from a recognized University/College.
The candidate should have a minimum of three (03) years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field / subject.
Note: Knowledge of IT applications, virtual meeting platforms, and Computer Skills (MS Word/Excel/Power Point/Tally etc.) will be an added advantage.
Monthly Remuneration
₹42,000/-
4. Young Professional-II (Finance & Accounts)
Essential Qualifications & Experience
M.Com / MBA (with minimum 55% marks) from a recognized University/College OR CA (Inter) / ICWA (Inter) / CS (Inter).
The candidate should have a minimum of three (03) years of post-qualification experience in the relevant field / subject.
Note: Knowledge of IT applications, virtual meeting platforms, and Computer Skills (MS Word/Excel/Power Point/Tally etc.) will be an added advantage.

General Terms & Conditions
- The engagement is governed by revised ICMR guidelines for engaging Consultant/Young Professionals (No. 16/84/2023-Admn II/ e-file-171470 dated 08/05/2026).
- Tenure: The contract is temporary. Consultant initial term is max 1 year (extendable up to 5 years or age 70). YP initial engagement is for 1 year (extendable up to max 3 years: 1+1+1).
- Termination: Contract can be terminated with one month’s notice on either side.
- Age Cut-off: The cut-off date for age limit will be the last date of submission of the application. Age relaxation as per ICMR guidelines.
- Experience: Must be gained after acquiring the minimum essential qualification. No regular service personnel under Govt/Organizations are eligible to apply.
- Remuneration: Fixed consolidated monthly remuneration; no other allowances admissible. No TA/DA will be paid to attend the interview.
- Selection: Based on educational qualifications, relevant experience, and performance in the interview.
- No part-time or full-time other remunerative assignment is permitted during the engagement period.
