The Tata Institute of Fundamental Research (TIFR), Hyderabad has announced its prestigious Visiting Students Research Programme (VSRP-2026). This is a golden opportunity for undergraduate and master’s students to spend their summer working on cutting-edge research projects at one of India’s premier institutes.

1. Who Can Apply? (Eligibility)

TIFR is strictly looking for students in specific years of their degree programs. Please check if you fit into one of the following categories:

Category A: Direct Applicants

• Bachelor’s Students: Final year of a 3-year B.Sc. program.
• Master’s/Integrated Students: Pre-final or Final year of M.Sc., Integrated M.Sc., 4-year B.Sc., or B.Tech/B.E. students.

Category B: KVPY / Science Academies

Students can also apply through the Summer Research Fellowship Programme (SRFP) hosted by various Science Academies. Selected students will be allocated to TIFR faculty based on availability.

2. Program Benefits

Selected interns are not just offered research exposure but are also financially supported to ensure a smooth stay.

• Monthly Stipend: Participants will receive a stipend of Rs. 9,000/- per month.
• Travel Support: Reimbursement for travel expenses as per TIFR rules.
• Accommodation: Free shared accommodation is provided by the institute for the duration of the program.
