1. Deputy Director (Cyber Security / Cyber Defence)
Level: 12 | Vacancy: 1 (UR)
Age Limit
Not more than 50 Years.
Essential Qualification & Experience
- Option A: Ph.D. in relevant discipline with 07 Years experience in Digital Forensics/Cyber Security.
- Option B: Master’s in Cyber Security / Computer Science / IT / Digital Forensics / AI with 10 Years relevant experience.
- Option C: B.E. / B.Tech in CSE / ECE / IT / EEE with 12 Years relevant experience.
Desirable: Relevant certifications in ISMS-LA / CEH / CHFI / ISO 27001 / SANS.
2. Deputy Director (Forensic Psychology)

Essential Qualification & Experience
- Option A: Ph.D. in relevant discipline with 07 Years of experience in a Govt Organization or Recognized Lab.
- Option B: Master’s Degree in Forensic Psychology / Psychology / Criminology / Neuropsychology / Clinical Psychology with 10 Years of relevant experience.
Desirable: Experience in analysis/investigation of cases related to polygraph, BEOS, SDS, Eye Detect & LVA.
3. Assistant Director (NDPS)

Essential Qualification & Experience
- Option A: Ph.D. Degree with 04 Years of experience.
- Option B: Master’s in Forensic Science (Forensic Chemistry spec.) / Chemistry / Biochemistry / Pharmacy with 07 Years of experience.
Note: Candidates with a Master’s in Forensic Science must have studied a minimum of 4 relevant subjects at the Master’s level.
4. Senior Scientific Officer (Cyber Security / Cyber Defence)

Essential Qualification & Experience
- For Ballistics: Master’s in Forensic Science (Physics spec) / Physics / Maths / Ballistics with 03 Years experience.
- For Forensic Accounting: Master’s in Forensic Accounting / Finance / Commerce / CA / ICWA with 03 Years experience.
Note: A full-time Ph.D. is considered equivalent to a maximum of 3 years of research experience for these positions.
8. Laboratory Assistant
Level: 5 | Vacancies: 24 (UR-10, OBC-6, SC-4, ST-2, EWS-2)
Age Limit
Between 18 to 27 Years. (Relaxations apply as per GoI norms for Govt Servants up to 40 years).
Essential Qualification
- Bachelor’s Degree in Forensic Science / Criminology / Physics / Maths / Botany / Zoology / Microbiology / Biotechnology / Genetics / Chemistry / Pharmacology or Pharmacy.
Note: Candidates who already applied for ‘Laboratory Assistant’ under Advt No: NFSU/TECHNICAL POSTS/10/2025 (Dated 18.12.2025) need NOT apply again.
📝 Comprehensive Guidelines & Instructions
1. Application Process & Fees
- Applications will only be accepted online via the Samarth Portal.
- Candidates applying for more than one post must submit separate online applications and pay separate fees for each.
Application Fee Structure (Non-Refundable)
Gen / EWS / OBC: Rs. 500/- + GST & Transaction Charges
SC / ST / PwBD / Women Candidates: NIL (Exempted)
2. Important Dates & Experience Calculation
- The crucial date for determining eligibility, qualifications, and age is the closing date of the online application (23.03.2026).
- Experience required for any post will strictly be reckoned only from the date of acquiring the essential educational qualification.
- Matriculation or Higher Secondary School Examination Certificates will be considered as the only valid proof of age.
3. Document Verification & Certificates
- Original Documents: Candidates called for an Interview/Document Verification must produce all original certificates (category, experience, education). Failing to do so will result in immediate cancellation of candidature.
- Name Change: If applicable, candidates must submit name change documents (Marriage Certificate, Gazette for Name Change, or Aadhaar Card).
- Grading System: If the university uses CGPA/Grades, it must be converted into a percentage based on the university’s official conversion table.
4. Reservation Rules (Crucial Dates)
- OBC-NCL Category: Must possess a valid Non-Creamy Layer Certificate issued on or after 01-04-2025, but not later than the last date of application.
- EWS Category: Must possess a valid Income and Asset Certificate issued on or after 01-04-2025.
- PwBD Category: The relevant disability must be permanent in nature and not less than 40%. Proof must be enclosed.
5. Selection Procedure
- For Posts 1 to 5: Selection will be based on the overall record and performance in the Interview. Interviews will be conducted in physical mode only.
- For Posts 6 to 8: Selection will be based on the merit of marks obtained in the Written Test and/or Skill Test.
- The University may conduct a Screening Test to shortlist candidates if the volume of applications is high.
6. Service Conditions
- Probation: Every person appointed directly will be on probation for a period of Two Years.
- Postings: Selected candidates may be placed at any of the NFSU Campuses (Gandhinagar, Delhi, Goa, Agartala, Bhopal, Dharwad, Guwahati, Bhubaneswar, Raipur, Nagpur, Chennai, Jaipur, Pune, Imphal, or Jinja-Uganda). Appointments are transferable.
- NOC Required: Candidates already in Govt/Semi-Govt/PSU service must submit a No Objection Certificate (NOC) and Vigilance Clearance from their employer.
